I am the Wellness Counselor at Northern Life Wellness. I received my Bachelors degree in Nutrition from the University of Minnesota. I specialized in classes such as Metabolism, Nutrition Counseling, Medical Nutrition Therapy, and Experimental Nutrition. There is so much information out there when it comes to nutrition and I pride myself on keeping up to date on the latest information through classes, seminars, and talks.
My passion for nutrition stems from knowing that I have always wanted to help others, but became completely clear when my sister was hospitalized for an eating disorder. During that whole process, I understood how powerful food can be and I knew that God put me on this earth to change people's lives through work in nutrition.
My vision is to share the best of what I'm living and learning and to keep it real and simple as I go. I know that there is so much information out there on nutrition and it can be overwhelming. I am here to decipher what works for each body. People may or may not be passionate about healthy eating, but I think most people want to be well and enjoy food in a healthier way.
I am a down-to-earth Midwestern girl. I grew up in the small town of Oconomowoc, WI. My husband and I moved to Minnesota in 2010. We have fallen in love with this state and all that it has to offer, except the Vikings of course! We now reside in Apple Valley with our son, Ethan, daughter, Evelynn, and two cats. In my free time I love to try new things, whether that's new recipes, exercises, or activities. I am always looking for things that I haven't tried.
